Stone Island AW19

Updated: Sep 24, 2019

Where new meets old

Despite Summer coming to an abrupt end and finishing as quickly as it appeared, the shift in season does hold one positive for those averse to the changing temperature. As the leaves change to yellow and the weather takes one of its unexpected turns, the esteemed fashion house of Massimo Osti, Stone Island, showcase their 2019 Autumn/Winter (AW) collection. It is with pleasure therefore that, after much anticipation, DPUS can proudly present Stone Island’s AW19 collection.

Having received a selection of items ranging from tees to beanie hats, we have hand-picked two pieces whose character and feel represent the history and modernness of Stone Island in equal measure but also represent their ideology for this seasons collection. Clothing that showcases the leading development of one of Italy’s most esteemed fashion brands.

Up first: the Stone Island Longsleeve Archivio T-Shirt. With a history that stretches back multiple decades, the Archivio range delves deep into Stone Island’s archives, merging iconic fabrics of the past with innovative, contemporary designs. In this instance, the Longsleeve Archivio T-Shirt gives a nod to the Jock-23 of AW 83/84, a stunning satin weave cotton jacket that became a focal point of Stone Island’s eighties heritage. At DPUS we have both the white and black colourways available to purchase, online and instore, for ten per cent less than any other Stone Island AW19 retailers.

Up next: the Overshirt. A classic of Stone Island’s ever-evolving collection, AW19’s Overshirt features a selection of new features that reinvent the identity of the piece but maintain the design’s integrity. A modern retelling that stays true to the original, this season’s material is composed of garment-dyed cotton, creating an aged, rustic effect that is nostalgic in its style but contemporary in its appearance. While last season’s nylon-metal fabric created a cutting-edge look, this year’s 100% cotton exterior represents a full-circle development, merging aspects of the past with reworkings of the new as we see a singular zip pocket replaced with a more pronounced button design. Available currently are the burgundy, navy blue, olive, and black colourways, all for ten per cent less than any other Stone Island AW19 retailer.

This drop is one of three of the AW19 Collection, more to come so keep your eyes peeled!
