Moncler Genius x Fragment, Hiroshi Fujiwara

Moncler have taken a huge leap forward into the fashion world in recent years by introducing the Genius Project, changing the way we have looked at Moncler and their classic ski jacket designs. The Genius Project has been created by the Moncler CEO, Remo Ruffini, who has not been scared to push the boundaries on an already established brand.

Moncler Genius now calls upon eight exciting new designers to create their own diffusion line with a bigger budget than what they as designer would normally be used to. The eight designer that were selected for the Moncler Genius Project were Pierpaolo Piccioli, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya, Palm Angels and Hiroshi Fujiwara. They were chosen to recreate the classic Moncler down jacket by using new materials and printed fabrics. This is how the Moncler Genius Project began.

Here at Designer Pop Up Store , we have been excited about this project Moncler have created for a long time. This Spring/ Summer 2019 we are pleased to announce the latest collection from Moncler Genius x Fragment, created by Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Hiroshi Fujiwara is a Japanese streetwear designer, musician, streetwear influencer and has his own design label, Fragment. Hiroshi Fujiwara arrived in Tokyo in the 80s at the age of 18. At that time the eruption of HipHop took over his life and began bringing records and the DJ culture back to Tokyo. On his travels and because of the love of HipHop lead him to meet and become good friends with Shawn Stussy, from this he became the vanguard of the international Stussy Tribe in Japan. After a few more years, Fujiwara launches GOODENOUGH.

GOODENOUGH gave the streetwear scene some its most famous names including BAPE. GOODENOUGH eventually gave way for Fujiwara’s new project, Fragment. Fragment design served as a space for Fujiwara to collaborate with brands and companies on a one to one basis. He created all sorts of good from clothing to electronics, watches and more. Fujiwara collaborated with brands such as: Louis Vuitton, Carhartt WIP, Viacom, converse and created a number trainers with Nike.

Here at Designer Pop Up Store we highly regard Fujiwara and what he has achieved so far as a designer. Therefore we are proud and excited to be carrying this seasons collection by the Moncler Genius x Fragment. We have got limited stock and are expected to sell out of this fast as we are also selling it 10-20% cheaper than what it is in stores currently in the UK.
